Not willing to pay Audi's price for a service I allowed my mate to take my '57 plate 2.0L FSI to Kwik-Fit where he would perform a £95.20 manufacturers service in order to keep inline with the manufacturers warranty of which I have a year remaining. I've only owned the car 1 year myself so its the first time i've had to service it.
The thing is he was able to carry out all of the work but Kwik-Fit could not reset the service indicator through vagcom. My mate took it to another local garage who have an even more sophisticated system (basically meaning it receives weekly updates to new car software) and they could not reset it either.
Is this "reset" simply a job that only Audi can do and will therefore probably charge for?

should state 'service reset' in you manual otherwise anyone with vag-com can do it.
