Service is due 80k

My cars service light has just come on for the 80k cam belt one.
My mate works VW and he said he can do it cheeper for me as long as i get the parts myself........so i said yeah cool
Got all my bits and bobs now...All filters,spark plugs,water pump and cam belt kit all came to £116. Is that good? Plus my mate said its gunna cost me £100 for the labour....Is that good?

yers thats a very good price considering a cambelt,pump change is £300 at specialists and even more at audi.
With your mate being at VW he probably does these everyday which are basically the same as audi.
also a service is normally £250 upwards from audi as well

Really that much? Well hes only charging me £30 hour and its down as 3.5 hours in the book

Never used audi me. Gone to specialists for servicing etc.

The audi in my area is £95 p/h approx +VAT
