Service Indicator - dashes??

Put the car through its variable/longlife service a few days ago but noticed that when I press one of the DIS buttons to see when the next service will be it's displaying "---" and "---" for miles/time until next service.

Sure I've read somewhere that after a service it can happen for a while until the sensors work out how long until the next service is due.

Anybody else had this? Is it normal??

yeah it will read this until the car judges your driving style and adjusts its self to be able to give you a mileage and date reading for your next service.
