My dealer posted this video on facebook about what they have put in place for servicing during the pandemic......but what an absolute palaver, I couldn't be bothered with all that!

However things could get a little complicated for me soon because I am due my second service in 25 days, but I've had a new car sitting at a different dealer since 24th March which I have obviously not been able to pick up. My trade in price was only guaranteed up till end of April, and I am already liable for an additional £330 due to increase in VED which came into force on 1st April.

I am not willing to pay anything extra due to depreation on my trade in, but if they are understanding about it and I dont have to then I will be going ahead with the new car purchase and naturally not be having my Audi serviced.

Timing will be key though......

Oh and the road tax on my present car is up at end of May, but Im not bothered by that because if it comes to it I will get a refund for the unused months.

Perth Audi had an email showing what they will wipe down after they service your car.
You could be cheeky and just reset the service warning in the MMI so it doesn’t flag up when you trade it in.
Out of interest what car are you getting?

I wouldn't be having it serviced if I were trading it in, I recall a dealership telling me they service it anyway, regardless of when it's been serviced. I don't think any used car prices have been changed during the lockdown, as they have nothing to go on saleswise!

Potentially getting. :D
Mercedes CLA 250 Premium Plus.
Had lockdown not happened and the dealer not closed then I would have picked it up on Saturday 28th March at the original agreed price, but it really is up in the air at the moment though, and I honestly don't know how it is going to go.

P.S. If the new car does go ahead, regardless of when it happens I have no intention of paying potentially hundreds of pounds to have my S3 serviced. ;)

My local Audi steamer is open for servicing. Got an inspection service, brake fluid and MOT on Wednesday. £325.

Wow thats relatively cheap for all of that... what Audi branch it is? here in Manchester all Audi dealers quote about the same for inspection service only around the £370 on my 1.4 Tfsi

Tell them to shove it and go to a good independent garage.

Cheap!!! lol my second service and inspection on both my S3 and A5 coupe were around £200 using genuine Audi parts and updated on the electronic Audi service record. That was from an independent garage, he also told me they do an inspection regardless of which service it is! Audi wanted £452 for the 2nd A5 service/inspection.

When I sold the S3 the sports car specialist who bought it, he was more than happy with the service record, he also gave me £1,500 more than what Audi had offered px.
