I have installed some led sequential turn signal+drl strips into my car however im having some issues , great if someone could help!

I have wired
black - to a random bolt / ground
red is wired into the number 3 wire on the headlight loom if i remember correctly
yellow wired to number 9 on the headlight loom

i simply used a razor blade and spliced the wire exposing the copper and tied them wires of the loom

it all works great as it should when the car is not running , indicators work including everything else however after turning the engine on for a few seconds the lights start to flicker or just turn off ? i have made sure the wires are connected securely but still no luck this only happens when the engine is on

I uploaded a video too thanks for any help someone can provide me!

strips i used are similar to these

Can you using a jump lead to the negative terminal of the battery out the other side onto the random bolt you’ve used for ground.

Just to see if this helps with grounding and any alternator noise on the ground

seen it happen with reverse cameras that are powered by the reverse light. when the engines off, everythings fine, but with the engine on the video feed is flickering or non existant. the car sends out a pulsing signal to check the bulbs, it would seem to be that it only checks the bulbs with the engine running.

one solution would be to use the relay method as described in the video. another method that ive seen people use with reverse cameras is to use a capacitor to solve the issue. not sure if it work for an indicator though. relay is the best solution that i know of
