Do you know anything about what happened?

Yeah. Use an apc on it. Passenger and rear seats are all fine but this happened to the drivers seat. Rest of leather had a tough plastic feel to it, this feels a bit sticky and soft.

Most leather car seats have a plastic coating to make them easier to clean. Maybe yours has been stripped off by the cleaner?

Get it repaired by a leather upholstery specialist mate, will cave cheaper than a new seat

Use some specialist leather cleaner. As it's the driver seat only could it be colour transfer from something you wear...which the APC has drawn out?

I thought that. Why’s it only done it to the drivers seat? Used more on the back seats because there were black marks from the child seat on the backs.

I would assume that because the drivers seat is used more and the potential for colour transfer is greater through heat etc? Can't be sure but it seems plausible...especially if you tend to wear dark coloured tops etc..
May be worth running it over to your detailer for a view or to sort it for you.

I start a detailing course on Monday so I’ll ask there.
