Have a problem with a rattle coming from the 'B' pillar area on the passenger side every time I go over a rough piece of road.
Doesn't seem to be an issue when someone is sitting in the passenger seat. Also if you pull out the passenger seat belt and hold in the locked position (not the easiest or most sensible thing to do whilst driving!) the rattle doesn't happen.
I'm guessing it might be something to do with the seat belt mechanism inside the pillar? Would be happy to take to a dealer if this is a known problem and there are some possible fixes they could try but obviously don't want to incur dealer rates if it's a complex system with many possible and unknown causes.
Any thoughts or suggestions gratefully received.
