Facelift SD card songs limit

Hello everybody,
facelift S3 here just picked up a week ago.
I have the MMI Plus system and I'm organizing my music. I have 2.000 songs on the SD card but the car seems to see about half of them only.
I know that there is a 1.000 limit, but that's referred to 1.000 for each single folder, while I have all the songs in the main SD space. That limit should be 10.000 songs.

Anyone knows what's going wrong?

If you have all 2000 songs " in the main SD space" that is exactly the same as having 2000 songs in a single folder. Try splitting them into smaller folders.

Is there a way to verify from the MMI how many songs are effectively loaded in the SD?

Put the SD card in a PC and Windows Explorer will tell you. I assume MAC will do the same.

I'm using a 128Gb SD card and tend to just drag my music from iTunes on my PC.

SD card is structured so that in the root of the card are the folders for each artist and then in these are their albums.
