Q3 SD card based navigation

Just ordered a Q3 sline and I didn't add the technology package. I was reading through and noticed it says preparation for sd card based navigation system - allows maps to be retro fitted using some audi parts anyone know what this is or shed some light on it?

Car has been handed over does it simply just need the nav sd card for this to work?

If anyone else is after the same answer you have to go back to dealer pay £495 for it to be enabled and an sd card will be issued and registered to your vehicle for the nav to work.
