I want to fit my shortened private reg plate, but the dealer has screwed right through the upper corners of the original reg plate into the grill. (probably quite a common occurance)
Short of buying a new OEM grill, has anyone used something else to hide/fill the unsightly holes left behind?

Thanks for the offer, but would prefer to keep the car standard.
TPS want £274 for a new S4 grill, so I'm going to try something else, maybe some small grommets, painted to match.

I agree with the above. Small plates just look a bit tacky and boy racer personally.

As for a solution to your problem, plastic filler but would then need to try and paint to match.

It's a 5 digit plate, so the font/size is legal. I've had it on my last two cars with no problems.

I understand 5 digit plates can be made smaller legally, but they just look odd.

Try "black" dummy screws in the holes.
