if your MAP sensor is foobar then you would know about it...

Never used that particular tool myself...

It's american just found some info on it it measures manifold pressure from the map sensor But because the map sensor is on the intercooler pipe work i dont think it will work on the 8l.it does say in small print wont work on some vehicles. So that's that then lol

It won't read vacuum is all... boost is boost... its a pressure sensor

Yeah i can always fit a boost gauge next to it if i want. But i mainly want the scanner just to monitor inlet temps. Plus it does loads of other things like mpg. Data logs. 0.60 timing etc Bit of a toy so why not.

I don't trust the boost gauge on android torque pro. It's a little bit sketchy

If its reading from the MAP sensor its seeing what the ECU is seeing... only reads to 22psi anyway and reports as absolute pressure

don't know... the stable readings might be good (I am not usually watching) but if you leave it on real time readings you get a max of say 36psi - I think the Android Torque Pro - Track Logger Plugin is more accurate.

lot of lag over the bluetooth dongles and k-line is not fast especially when you are tracking a few PIDs

you get a bluetooth device from ebay and you need to buy the full android app as the free app doesn't include the boost pressure. overall cost about £6
