Savings on used vs new price?

Sounds like your dealer is doing some manoeuvring. Giving you a credit against another policy as with GAP doesn’t apply to 4/5 year warranty bought at time of order. Suggest you check on Mythos...having full facts before taking a view is usually a good idea.

I just wondered on the Mythos because you do seem to have an appropriate SHOUTY argumentative name and intent on arguing that black is white.
Your SSSeats must show the same price on your invoice as my five year warranty does on mine.

What was the costings on the jcw pal,as fancy one of those also, but dont fancy putting much down this time
He didn't give me the full details even though I did ask for them!!! Never a good sign! but the price of the car new with a few options was £27.5k, he came back with £360 per month x 48 months with £1,000 down from me. In fact the link to the build I did may still work https://configure.mini.co.uk/en_GB/configid/l0r7p0z7

I've seen better deals out there on a basic manual car, £300 down and £300 per month over 48 months....but to be honest if I was getting one I'd buy a used one under 12 months with the options on it already.

Id go for similar build, but would want a auto, and unsure if that has sat nav as would need that also,im keeping mine for another 12 months then probably swapping for a smaller car

My SSS seats aren’t shown on my invoice. My initials are RG ... is that a problem... I also own a barge...and just a few nice cars..

No sat nav on that, sat nav is a £900 pack option! The auto is about £1,400 more. All the smaller cars I've looked at tend to come out around the same as what I can get another Audi for!

Had 2 quotes today on a Golf GTi and a Golf TCR, both brand new in the showroom with some options on, both over a 48 month 0% APR pcp with £1,000 deposit off me =

The GTI TCR:
£420.98 per month
£13,792.50 final payment.
Total Payable £34,000 (plus £1,000 deposit =£35,000)
That’s £3,705 discount off the vehicle.

The GTI Performance:
£445.65 per month
£12,757.50 final payment
Total Payable £34,149 (plus £1,000 deposit =£35,149)
That’s £3,875 discount off the vehicle.

You can buy a used TCR with low miles for £28k, date of first registration July 2019 big saving for a car that's just 7 months old https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201912055076789?

One that did pop up was this M135i which I thought wasn't too bad!

Which dealer is offering the 5.5k contribution? I think the new M135i is an option for me when I'm ready to swap. Just wish the government would get rid of the 40k rip off road tax!

Think I would go for a well spec’d 2 year old S3 from a dealer and buy the extra warranty.

Lloyd’s and Halifax do a pcp loan . £30k over 4 years ... check out the numbers.

Think it was Listers mate.
Yeah the£40k rip off road tax crosses off the same car for me again, it comes in list as £40,500 before it wa about £38,500

How long can you do the extended warranty for, just 5 years?

Lol exactly what I wanted mate, I did £1k down and £388 over a 36 month pcp on this A5 coupe, so I thought it would be easy to find something nice for £88 per month less over the same term, how wrong was I? There's nothing much decent going for that.....even if you do a 48 month pcp.

The only one I like that is around those figures is the Polo GTi+, but it's a 6 month wait from ordering to delivery!!! or a BMW 1 series M-sport £300 down £300 per month but over 48 months.

The Yaris GR Four, looks to be the most exciting car to be made in the last 10 years.

You can extend Audi Warranty to 9 years in uk. 100k miles. Buy used and you get 24 months.

Thanks that's handy to know, thought it was only up to 5 :) Wonder if they expect a main dealer history though, or if a specialist updated on their site is good enough!?! The guy I use is shown on the main Audi site under the servicing side for my car.

Audi and VW extended warranties are administered by a third party, see link below . My daughter has had a VW Golf for 8 years (2 years old when she bought it) and has had an extended warranty costing a few hundred a year, depends on cover/mileage/excess etc.

Cheers mate I did find that before, tested it on a 14 plate TT and it came in at £565 with all components covered and a £250 excess.
Just been looking on the Audi used cars, seen 2 19 plate cars for what I want to pay both with the same engine...TT Black edition front wheel drive or TT S-line quattro for the same price....sporty looks vs quattro!!!???!!! I'd be tempted by the standard looks and off the line grunt...

Edit* looked again and the quattro is actual the 45 TFSI engine! the BE is the 40.

FWD TT is awful...in my opinion. My 2018 S3 is for sale at Bristol Audi, cracking car, loaded with bits.. and sad to see her go..

Well im gonna keep mine for another year, renewed my audi assistance and the warranty for the next year, and take my time to decide what to do next, but if im honest,i need a smaller car,but really want to stay in a 4wd car !

How much in the end for the warranty?

Cost me 34 a month excess of 100 and all components covered pal

Another thing I've only just been made aware of, car tax is changing again from April 1st 2020.
E.g.. mazda cx5 2.2 gt sport.

Current band h £530
New rate band j £1280

You can buy the Audi extended warranty for a car up to 100k miles, AFAIK there's no age limit
