I have been looking at the RNS-E satnav.

Will this fit in a 2001 Y Plate car?

it will. If you look for a B6 Audi A4 with "Double DIN" Symphony head unit, fitting an RNS-e is very easy (and takes less than an hour)......if its only got the Chorus single DIN head unit its a days work faffing about

If your 2001 Y plate is a B5 A4 your best bet is an A6 model of RNS-E. The faceplate is closer in shape and size to a B5, an A4 RNS-E will need lots of mods to the faceplate and yo'll still be left with a big gap.

The Y plate A4 I have seen is a B6. I thought the earlier cars might have been pre-can models, as this the case with our Audi A2.
