Hi everyone,

Is it possible to just change the headunit in an A1 from a standard one to a sat nav enabled one?

I’m getting the message saying it’s not enabled and to contact Audi etc. didn’t know if just a change would enable the sat nav function, with a little VCDS tweaking of course.

Any help would be good.

Second hand unit will need component protection removed which is a specialist or dealer job and there’s no guarantee the nav will be enabled.
If it’s like the a3 a dealer can enable satnav and new maps activated for around £500

I thought that might of been the case. Bit of an expense for something I won’t use all that much.
