Personally I'd steer clear of those alloys on ebay. All 4 are kerbed and its from a salvage yard. Who knows what sort of structural state they are in.

Price is great though, not worth a punt and have the local workshop give them a once over?

Little weird that they have 3 different brands of tyres, if going on a quattto I would replace all 4 with same, or at very least have the same on each axel with the similar tread levels.

If these are your first set of diamond cut alloys, be aware they do corrode in the UK, it’s a case of when not if, when they do corrode, it’s best to get them refurbed in paint/powder for longevity.

Apart from that they look legit, and priced about right.

They are Kerbed, but doesn’t look like any major chunks have been taken out of them. I wouldn’t expect them to be buckled based on experience/gut.

I really like this style of rim, but they look kinda grey and not sure they would go well with the scuba blue colour..

And don't see any decently priced sets of 4 on eBay anyway. Shame, they really look the part..

Has your Avant got the black pack? I think the amount of chrome and ride height would dictate which wheels to go for.

That's what I want on mine

The 2nd one is the older shape, so those alloys will have a different offset, I would stick with the same generation and get the right offset. It also sits lower.

I think a set of rotors could look quite nice:

I actually like the original ones you found:

My bad linking to an older model - I do see some newer A4's with the same looking alloys, not sure if they're really the same though. eg.

Are those the same star shaped ones?

Both those blue A4's you linked look class with those alloys. Will try sourcing the rotor ones and compare the price. Maybe just go for these after all, thinking to offer him 450 delivered:

Found more cars with the diamond cuts, which is funny because yesterday I looked and didn't see any!

Oops sorry bad form of me not updating this! After looking at other A4s on those alloys I decided they're pretty class looking and wanted them.

Offered £450 and he accepted today. He says two tyres need replaced though so was thinking to just do all 4 tyres in one go. Thing is the tyres are really expensive.. Kwik Fit quoted me £360 fitted for 4 tyres for the A4. A mobile tyre replacement place said they would fit the alloys, but they won't do it unless I buy brand new tyres from them and they're quoting around 140 to 170 per tyre!

So I'm kinda at a loss. I'm moving home at the moment and really just not up for paying £360 on top of all the spending I've just done.. Maybe £200 would be palatable, but doesn't look like that's even remotely possible...

Any ideas on decent tyres that will roll well and are good value?

Oh sorry and.. do you think I would need to buy a new set of 4 tyres for these?

Is yours a Quattro? If so I would go 4 new tyres, if not Quattro, it depends on which of the tyres are good, if it’s the continentals I would stick those on the back, and then get 2 new on the front. I am pretty risk adverse, others may not worry that the tread pattern is different

Just a regular Avant Sport, TDi... not sure which tyres are the worn ones yet, as to be honest, I can't tell by looking at the pics... definitely pretty risk adverse myself though, especially if it saves £££ haha :D

Deleted, thought I'd found a good tyre deal but the size was wrong :)

Have you got Costco membership, currently Bridgestone in the same size with AO are £114 fitted and you get £70 off for a set of 4, bargain IMO,

I’ve had both the Goodyear’s and bridgestones in run flats, and the Goodyear’s were better mostly down to noise, but the bridgestones lasted forever

Cheers Archer, priced up the Potenzas on Costco there and with fitting and discount works out around £430 roughly.. quite nice. Goodyear Eagle 3 works out at £417 fitted.. not much difference though the efficiency rating is E on the Potenzas and I think C on the Eagle 3s

I’d login an get the Bridgestones today, price drop plus discount, £311!!!!

Had to upload the image in 2 goes, I would move quick on these.

Awesome, that's the best deal I've seen around by far! Cheers!

Typically of course.. I'd gone and ordered from Blackcircles already first thing this morning.. This would save me around £85 though (after factoring in 15quid membership fee). Tempted to try and get a refund and go for these :D

Lol, always the way, to be fair a Costco membership maybe £15, it’s the £200 you spend on every visit that gets you :tearsofjoy: so probably better not to have it

Which tyres did you get from black circles?

Haha yeah I remember the last time I was in Makro... trolley filled with buckets of gummy sweets :D

Got the Eagle 3 Asymmetrics.. was around £417 delivered and fitted.. just wondering if there's going to be an issue with the fitters. I want them to take the existing wheels off, and fit the ones I've bought from eBay. Basically the same job but dunno if they're funny about stuff like that..
