I've just been informed by Audi that my Oil Pan is leaking because it is corroded (They said perforated)...The car is a late 2002 (52) and has done 46K miles with fewer than 1800 per year for the past 5 years. Has anyone heard of this before? Do they make their oil pans out of cardboard or something? Audi also say that it will be £500 plus vat to change! They also report that the gearbox shaft seal is leaking as is the main bell housing, which will also cost another £500 plus VAT to cure as the gearbox will need to come out to rectify Does anyone know a decent 'Specialist' in the Sheffield area that I could take the car to?
