S7 Front Brake pad replacement cost

Hi all,

Can anyone give me a rough idea of how much I should be paying to replace the front brake pads on my S7? Is it an easy job to do myself?

I’m using EBC Redstuff pads, the set was around £150, plus £90 for the anti vibration pads (only available from Audi)

I had a garage fit them as I also had the callipers powder coated at the same time.

if you’ve changed brake pads in the past, it’s actually a fairly straightforward job. The EBCs don’t come with the wear sensor, but I was able to reuse the original one.

Some people have reused the original anti vibration pads - they are stick on pads. Here is a pic of the set that was fitted to my S7.

Thanks for the reply, I've heard the red stuff pads don't have that same annoying squeal when driving around town? For what it's worth, the dealer quoted £780 to replace the pads! Local specialist quoted £180 so I know where I'll be going.
