S5 owners in Northern Ireland

Hi. I'm currently looking into buying a s5. Looking for a pre-facelift 4.2 v8 in a manual. I am most likely going to be buying from mainland UK. I don't want to go through the hassle of selling my A6 avant, then to travel to buy an S5 before driving one and possibly not liking it.

Just seeing if any of you fine folk would fancy meeting up for half an hour to discuss your ownership and maybe giving me a quick run in your car. Just in the off chance that I get to see one over the water and I hate it.

I'm based in Belfast but willing to travel.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the S5 is a 3.2 V6. The RS5 is a v8

I take it you're looking to trade your A6 rather than give it away to the We Want to buy yer motor dot com type people?

The NI guys meet infrequently, not sure if there are any S5 owners now but might be worth looking in the NI owners section and making contact through PM

The pre-FL S5 Coupe was a 4.2 V8, whilst the pre-FL SB and Cab were 3.0 V6. The FL Coupe then became a 3.0 V6 too.

Lol...yea Audi had a ****** field day with engine choices in the S5

Think the V8 got quickly replaced due to emission targets...
