Made this today, it fits but not a perfect job. I can see why you pay £100 plus for them now. My measurements for the holes were only a few mm out and it was a pain to fit. Had to make the holes into slots to fit. Glad the skuttle cover hides most of it.

Looks good mate! Have you had a chance to drive it yet & see if the ride has improved?

OK I'm about to give it a go, any top tips?
Guessing you put 2 holes in each end to use the unused bolt on the chassis?
And chop off the unused bolty bits on the original, so you can place on the top?

pretty much yes, I did this a while ago and TBH haven't noticed any difference in handling at all.
 
Yeah who knows? But it was fairly simple to knock up even with my lack of metal working skills.

@id2130 did you remember to fit a suitably sized thickness wise washer under the point where the extra previously unused stud is as there is no extra material at that point as the factory fitted strut brace stops short of that point?
I bought a set of SS A4 nuts that had free running spreader washer with rippled anti slacken lower surface, just because I thought that was a good plan.!
