Any advice on sourcing a rear valance/diffuser? Just looking for first hand experience. I can see some nice looking examples out there, but can I trust the photos, ease of fit, quality, customer service etc.
Can anyone give me a good review/link?

Ideally:

*Black to match in with the rest of the factory ‘black pack’

*Not too aggressive, but perhaps more ‘presence’ than the standard in the photo

*The custom fabricated valved exhaust is oval tipped but I’m not expecting to get oval apertures.

Cheers
Lee

Personally with that exhuast I'd go for an rs4 valance.
Would love to believe me , but with it being a custom-fabricated exhaust and not OEM, the RS4 valance won’t match up… I need something that is ‘open’ rather than ‘enclosed’ under the tips, and that way it’ll have more tolerance. They fit symmetrically in the std S4 valance, so heading in that direction so I don’t have a headache fitting/adapting….
I can’t work out whether the saloon/Avant valances are the same. All of the nice after market ones I can find are modelled on the saloon and do not say available for the Avant, so I’m assuming the fixings/shape are not the same?

I'm pretty sure that they are different, also with any diffuser's that I have looked at there seems to be a difference between an s-line bumper and an SE bumper.
I had a look and there is a very subtle difference between the two, my Dynamik has a factory fitted body kit but an SE bumper!

ECS Tuning gloss block rear diffuser gets my vote.
Me too!! But ECS being American only make it for the saloon as the didn’t get the Avant on the B8 platform over there.
So I’m assuming it will not be suitable for a slap-it-on fit….
Maybe it will with some modifications?
However, I’ve not got the patience or talent to try modification with a £350 bit of plastic….it’ll end in tears

I’ve found an old post from 2019 with the same question…. The answer suggests the same dimensions and fittings between the S4 Saloon and Avant, so think I’ll give it a shot

The bumpers are indeed different but the centre inserts look identical. Can you tell me the PN on your bumper for the insert and I’ll let you know saloon.

Cheers, I’ve got some stealth cosmetics to carry out on Monday (RS-style honeycomb front grill from CT Ltd to fit ,and gloss black rings front and rear to swap out from the standard chrome)… so will take off the rear valance and look for the PN whilst I’m at it.

Thanks again for the offer….I ended up having a great drive over the Penines to Manchester where Awesome GTi are based. They had the ECS diffuser in stock. They unwrapped it for me, we offered it up to mine and could tell straight away they were identical. Purchased and fitted in 10 minutes in the car park…. It’s my favourite singular cosmetic mod so far, and therefore worth every £..

How does it fit? Is it just clipped in or bonded/glued? Thanks

Sorry for the delay, I’ve not checked in for a while….
Just OEM clips, the original pulls straight out no tools and the ECS replacement clips into the same places. Perfect
