s4 oil type

so.... I’ve searched and I know this info is here a somewhere but the search here seems hopeless (for me anyway)

S4 oil - I plan to change every 6000 miles ( every 3 months for me ) and I’d like to know what to use !
I’m not really interested in Audi’s own oil mainly because I don’t want to be dealing with Audi to get it ! But of course I’d like to maintain my warranty and I don’t want them asking questions when the car is dealer serviced ( which I’ll do to maintain the warranty for the next 15 months ) ....
So what to use;
what spec is standard?
Can I get Audi oil from elsewhere?
Will Audi care if the oil that comes out at a service isn’t theirs??

So that’s 8lt of fully synthetic 5w -30 ?

Ask what your local Audi dealer is using, I've had some 0W- ?? loaded into my at times when serviced by an Audi dealer, though by choice I just tend to use Mobil 1 ESP 5W-30 when I service that car which is a 2011 S4.

So £102 for enough oil (Castrol Edge 5W30) at retail from Halfords comes to close to £300 (OK, with a filter) when done by a dealer
