Morning all,
I've owned this car for 6 months now and noticed on a good run last Sunday a fairly faint hum between 38-50mph. The car has done 32,000 miles, it's a 2009 V6 3.0 quattro avant, DSG tiptronic.
The hum is not gear specific, or engine rev related, and it's not the supercharger. I think the noise is from the centre of the car and it hums on the way up and the way down. It is quite subtle. There is no vibration.
I suspect the cold weather may have brought it on. I am sadly 16 weeks out of warranty.
The bit of reading I've done mentions wheel bearings, or heaven forbid, the prop shaft. But all threads relate to previous models.
Anybody experienced similar on their quattro?
All help much appreciated.
