Bit of a long shot but I wondered if anyone on here would be able to advise on this intermittent whining noise I’m experiencing in my S3 at the moment. First started a few weeks ago mainly around 30mph when letting off the accelerator and maintaining speed or coasting as I’m coming down gears, doesn’t matter what mode / gearbox setting I’m in.
Had the car since new and in 7000 miles I’ve not heard it before. Been into Audi already but typically they weren’t able to replicate the issue, but it happened yesterday again so I drove to Audi and asked for a master tech to come out with me. However, by the time I’d got to the garage the noise had gone and I looked like a wally
I’ve linked the dashcam video that has picked the sound up slightly, it’s much louder in person and can be heard over the radio etc. Easiest to hear around the 7 & 15 second mark on the video.
Any suggestions would be appreciated as myself and Audi haven’t got any clue what it is at the moment.
