Not really a vs thread, but we've just placed an order for an m135i for my other half, to sit alongside my S3 Saloon, so should be interesting to see how they compare as a long term proposition.
I considered the m135i before I bought my S3, it was only the driving position and offset pedals that stopped me from doing so, as I have a bad back and found it uncomfortable driving it any distance.
I have had 3 BMW's in a row before my S3 and do like them, though I'm still totally happy with my S3 after 12 months and it does very well what I want it to do.
The m135i no doubt has the better engine, but both cars have their positives and negatives.
The main issue is that the wife will now have more bhp and torque than me
