S3 Turbo Whistle?

Boys & Girls.

With the nicer weather recently I've been treating myself to driving with the window down to listen to the (admittedly tamer than desired) burble of my S3. I have noticed though that I've a fairly loud/noticeable turbo whistle/whooshing, more so than I'd expect. To be honest it sounds a bit boost leaky - does everyone else experience similar though?

Not just you - me too but on a A3 TFSI with stage 2. Also a couple of other similar threads on here lately.

Checked for leaks and can't find any, no difference in power but can hear wooshing & dv type noises with the window open. Not sure what it sonds like when driven past though.

Has the performance been affected? Get it scanned with VCDS to see if there are any leaks.

My s3 is the same I thought I had boost leaks but had it all checked and nothing loose/cracked/split so think its the norm with these cars
