Hi guys I'm on the verge of changing my s3 facelift saloon for an rs3 facelift saloon, im located essex not far from Stansted where would you guys recommend to go for tuning cheers Andy

It’s a good distance from you but it’s surely got to be MRC in Banbury. Just got to make a day of it. Have a wander around Banbury and go for a spot of lunch while they work their magic. It’ll be worth it.

I had read about them mate and the other one was litchfield, what sort of price am I looking at and should I get the tcu done too

It's about 800 quid mark and this includes TCU. They highly recommend this with stage 1 which is my plan. They also recommend a new filter panel element if you have no air intake mods. Oh, it also includes the pops and crackles

Litchfield is even further. Nothing wrong with them but they specialise in Japanese cars. MRC are widely regarded as the best Audi tuner so I’d be going to them.

Can never understand the desire to take a German car to a Jap car specialist . Especially when Litchfield tuned RS cars never seem to make the promised numbers.

As D0C said MRC are the kings with most things Audi / VAG related.

Thought of them S and then thought what if something happens that shouldn't. At least in Banbury it'll be sorted on the spot.

It’ll blow your mind. You’re looking at getting on for 500hp with a couple of pipes and tune.

Good if you live miles away from a tuner though.

Which pipes mate was looking at secondary cat delete pipes and a cts intake
Facelift doesn’t have secondary cats. You want turbo inlet and hard pipes. MRC will be able to help. Worth giving them a call.

I went to see Dave at MRC Falkirk for stage 1 ecu/tcu tune couple month ago, got the forge inlet and hardpipe fitted with my K&N panel filter and Dave was blown away that car managed to get 518bhp and 580nn on the draggy, crazy for a stage one.

Oh sh** doesn't it my bad so there's nothing you can do to exhaust like I done resonator delete on my s3, just want something that gives a slight noise increase of standard

The map will open the valves from low down in dynamic. Trust me, it’ll be plenty loud enough!

Even with standard exhaust mate, doesnt have the sports exhaust on mine
If you go to Banbury there is PCW exhausts not far away. They will make your existing exhaust louder. That's what I'm gonna do. Get the two things done at same time.

All you need to do is go with Infinit Performance in Glasgow.

He is 7 hours from me but I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else, just check videos online eg. TR Hamzas latest videos.

There are so many cars that have now had to go there to sort out other tunes.

I am booked in for mid November, will be worth the 350 mile each way !

There’s also lots on here who seem to think people who have Infinit tunes have had to go elsewhere to have problems sorted.

I guess they’ll always be horror stories from every tuner. But MRC seem to have a bulletproof reputation and have been in the game a long time. It’s also useful it being located roughly in the middle of the country.

I don’t know of a single person who has had to have an Infinit tune re-done, genuinely not seen anyone at all or seen a hint of it. Do you have any links?

I’m not die hard dedicated to Infinit, but through full research and checking everyone out on the market they just seem to be another level. The guy who runs it literally has Audi blood.

There was a big thread and argument on here over it a few weeks back. The owner Aoon is a long time ASN member and to be fair is only ever helpful from what I can see. As I say, they’ll always be stories but I don’t have any personal accounts. I’ve only ever had my cars tuned by MRC because of their reputation and the fact they are only 30 mins drive for me. No complaints and very happy.

I've genuinely tried to find this thread for a few days, searched all on the forum, searched for Infinit performance etc and still can't see anyone at all having a map removed which was done by Infinit?

I'm genuinely intrigued as I've only ever heard positive things, seen positive results, and experienced positive feedback from them.

you’ve so many tuners closer to your doorstep like MRC, MSL, Lichfield and Awesome etc down south. If your going to Glasgow I’d go with EcoTune who’ve been in the game a hell of a lot longer and previous history.

cars in this morning for an oil service and we discussed the turbo inlet, pretty interested. Already have the intake pipe and filter with APR map. He did mention 500 is the magic number, but Over 500 is mighty
