I'm doing around 13-15k a year in my S3 and it looks like I'm on fixed 9k service interval. The car is asking for its second oil change at 22k, the first oil change was due at 13k.

Am I best staying on the fixed interval or switch it to flexible due to the mileage covered in a year?

I do oil changes on the car myself so cost isn't really an issue as I'm only paying for genuine parts sourced from TPS, but I dont want to "over service" (if there is such a thing) the car for no reason

I would change it every 10k on a fixed service but I’m a bit old school like that.

This is my thinking too, but I always use longlife oil so i'm wondering if there is any benefit to changing the oil at 9k

Think all vag spec oils are long life now. I would still change it at 9-10k.
Can’t be any cheaper using non long life oils.
