S3 Recall For Coolant Pipework

Dealer mentioned to me that they had seen a few 8V cars now, with coolant loss, but no Audi fix yet.

Was it a problem from the start or did it develop over time?

OK initially
Then from 3500 miles coolant started dropping

Hopefully not porous thin wall engine blocks, would have probably been an issue from the start I suppose.

Edit: Cancel that, too many reports to be blocks.

Mine has dropped since new but I've done 12,000 miles now. It seemed to stop just below min so have left it. Maybe that would further support the cap theory

Mine has definitely seen a drop, Dealer topped up, drove home in 1 hr and checked and its back at Min level again....Booked in for further testing and fix ! AUS car too...
