Still loving the S3 however I'm having a bit of a mental block when it comes to doing a proper launch from a standstill with it being my first 4WD car. Normally in a 2WD I would Rev it to around 4000rpm and release the clutch fairly quickly which would keep the revs up in the power band with a small amount of spin.
Doing the same in the S3 with the 4WD system the car tends to bog down because there is so much grip and the wheels won't spin which results in the RPM dropping. The only option would to to drop the clutch completely but in my mind this would put a lot of stress on the transmission because of the 4WD having so much grip.
Also I notice from a standstill the car will only rev to 4k and the turbo will not build any boost pressure.
Any ideas?
