S3 LED DRLs not working

Has anyone had issues with the DRLs not working on a facelift s3 2010?? Audi reckon the whole light needs replacing!!

Usually the whole headlight needs to be replaced

B*gger that's £600 down the drain, that I could've spent on chipping it!!

Drivers side DRL not working but all other lights are ok, DRL failiure error message appears on the dash.
Audi reckon it needs a whole new light, I've resigned myself to it even though they quote £600 to replace it!!
