That price difference (and the assumption regarding Bristol's effort) begs the question of whether or not you made sure they were all quoting for exactly the same work. Did you ask them all to break the cost down so that you were comparing apples with apples?
I don't pretend to know, but it's a bit difficult not to think that Bristol are including something that the others aren't, and are quoting accordingly.
One of the things that gets on my tits about all this is that the dealerships (or service receptionists) appear to assume that their customers have absolutely no gumption whatsoever, a zero level of intelligence and that the notion of ringing someone else up for a comparative quote would simply never occur to them.
Why is that?
Do most of their punters really just toss their keys to the service receptionist, turn smartly on the heel of their patent brogues and say 'Let me know when you've finished eh, pal' over their shoulders?
I suppose they must.
