S3 Exhausts

Silly question but why are they so expensive?

Ive had prev stainless steel cat back exhausts on a range on diff cars but the S3! £500 for a good setup, even 2nd hand is not cheap. Am I just looking in the wrong place eg ebay etc

Just nature of the best mate - you get what you pay for.

I picked my miltek up 2nd hand on ebay and it was perfect

You will pay milltek nearly £1k for the full TBE.

You could maybe ask milltek for a test piece, don't know if they would have any you would need to call and ask but if they did you would probably save a good bit for a pretty much new system

Expensive!? They are cheap. My M3 CSL full exhaust was about £2500!

I'd say 2500 for an exhaust is mega expensive, the manufacturers of that exhaust clearly know most m3 csl owners have plenty of cash to burn!
