s3 exhaust tips smaller than golf r ?

I noticed that the tips on a golf r look bigger than the s3 exhaust tips

The golf R tips are oval as opposed to the S3's which seem more rounded, it's embarrassing for the R to have C63 esk tips in a 4 pot IMO, at least the S3 follows behind cars like the S4 with its 4 pipes
