s3 apy 1999 misfire

scanned car no codes changed coil packs and spark plugs still misfires dont know what to do now it misfires from start up and sounds like a subaru now with no pick up

Which cylinder?... you can pull the injector plugs one at a time to determine which cylinder...

Compression test to see if a cylinder is down... could be from a bent rod or damaged valve etc..

ive changed all the coil packs and plugs still the same will check injectors tommorow thanks

Coil pack wiring harness could be your issue if changing the plugs and coilpacks has not fixed the problem. APYs are getting on a bit now, the plastic sleeves on the wires go dry and brittle, which starts to crack, and leads to shorting out.
