S3 8p Quad Supersprint Exhaust :)

Hi, im new to this site, just wanted to show some pics of my new exhaust, and c wot u think, quad or no quad
...i think there is a reason why new S3 comes with quads, it looks so good

Thx, here's some more pics, at this moment i have set the tailpipes stickin out a lot, later i will move them in, cos they do look a bit better that way, but then u can't c the supersprint logo which is a shame, anyway, thx 4 comments + big thx to AMD they did a great job orderin' n fittin' + my stage 1 is a beast vs stock

Meh IMVHO quad pipes in too much, it isn't an R8. There was a pistonheads article about this a while ago, it is getting out of control.

i was silly enough to buy the tailpipes from supersprint for some ridiculous price, just to c the logo, but now i will end up hidin' them in bumper, so my advice to anyone thinking of gettin the supersprint tailpipes - don't, just get some much cheaper tailpipes cos u won't c the logo anyway.

Great effort and good to see you / AMD taking the time to fit it all properly and not just stick on some crappy quad exhaust from Halfords! Can you take a few more pics from behind the car at a distance please? Just so I can see how it looks against the whole back of the car.

Hi, tips cost me 410ish depends on eur vs £, yeah i totally agree, can't say a bad word about AMD, they fitted tailpipes nicely tucked in, it was me who later at home started to mess with them ...will take some more pics 2morrow there is a vid on youtube, i posted it today, they do sound much better in real life, like all exhausts cameras just can't pick up all the details in sound p.s. there's nothing wrong with tdi, i will soon need to move to my local shell

You need loud speakers or headphones to listen to exhaust videos, laptop speakers don't just produce low frequency sounds.

still headphones can't beat real life exhaust note, same counts for music, u cant beat live performance of someone good, well these days it's all about autotune, anyway, money always tend to end up in my car not in good headphone purchase

yeah Im not a big fan of quad exaust on small engines but the supersprint looks the part. Pity you have to cut the lower diffusor

Thx 4 good comments, big reason for me to go for these, was that almost no one got quad's on s3 8p, n it helps a lot, to stand out + the sound ain't bad either there is a post few years old with orange s3 with these fitted done by AMD as well, i saw the post while still looking for the right s3, n i knew that after getting the car that's gonna be the way ill go as well + the new S3 comes with quads and it does look good. Talking lower diffuser, there is (was) bloke on ebay selling 8V S3 diffuser n he was saying it fits 8P but at the time i didn't have spare 140 £ to test that, so maybe anyone on here can verify if it fits or not? thx again

I'm not a fan of quad's but it's a lot better now it's further in the bumper. Looked a little boy racer ish sticking out as far as it did!

if all of us would mod our cars the same way that would be so boring, so i respect that not all will like quads, but i love the look I agree that S3 8P looks so good so it's all about subtle mods...

That's the good thing about modifying a car,and as long as you don't stick neons on it,then you're doing fine.

Thx, i think they look like they been there since day one, so i love the look as well. Regarding fitting im not 100% sure just give a buzz to AMD they will know cos they did all the job i just paid the bill. There is some info on supersprint site - Rear bumper skirt and muffler heat shield must be modified. Plastic housing for the rear mounted battery must be eliminated. Hope this helps

I'll be spraying the back diffuser gloss black and the front bumper lip under the grill gloss black to tie in with RS gloss black grill + chrome tailpipes then will look even better
