S3 8P pre facelift bulb type???

what bulb type are the xenon headlight in a pre facelift S3? all i can find online is facelift onwards.
D2S?, D3S?.

I'm 100 percent sure it's D1S, replaced mine a while ago. The facelift headlights use D3S bulbs.

Mine is a 2008 which still is pre facelift (without led drl's), facelift is 2009 on

Not an S3, but my 3.2 has D1S bulbs in Audi pre-facelift Bi-Xenons.
Just changed them recently.
