S3 8P oil filter socket size

Hi - got a week off next week so going to do oil and filter change. First time on this car ( done many others) but can someone confirm the socket size to remove oil filter please? I’ve read both 32mm and 36mm from searching.

Pretty sure there’s a little cap on the bottom of it that you unscrew to access the filter housing drain plug. Push that up with a screw driver let the oil drain out and flick it shut then it’s a 36mm to remove the housing.

Couldn't remember myself...but I remember trying the size I read online, it not fitting then dashing around trying to find the correct size!

It’s not a perfect method but if the oil filter is at the bottom and upside down it’s 36mm if it’s the right way up and at the at it’s 32mm. With the exception of the 3 cylinder 1.2L etc but who wants to remember those lol
