s3 2001 radio dont turn off

hey guys, got a problem with the original radio in my s3.
As i pull out the key out of the ignition switch, the radio still keeps on playing, even when locking the car.
everything else just works fine.

is this a common problem or not? is this just a setting in the radio or do i have to look at the wiring ?

I think this is a canbus related issue right? Mine did it once as a one off, and has never done it since. Other than that I don't really know! Be interested to hear if any others have had this problem too.

could be possible, however i can turn the radio on without key in ignition switch, so i doubt a canbus problem

Happened to me a while back, turned out to just be a blown fuse (can't remember which one though). Check all your fuses first.

behind the radio? or at the side of the dashboard?

Happen to me pulled fuse side of dash out back in never happened again

It was a fuse in the main board at the end of the dash, I was all ready to change the ignition switch and it was just a fuse
