So, on top of turbo, DPF and now EGR+cooler in the space of two weeks I'm in the middle of two garages telling me different things about my gearbox oil change which is due.
Audi (Nottingham) - quote 175 quid, about what they charged 2 years ago. Thought as it was in to an independent I'd get them to quote while they had it for the EGR replacement.
Independent - quote 275 quid
:-o
Turns out the Audi quote is just an oil change and the Indy also change the strainer and gasket (although this doesn't quite make all the diference in cost as Audi seem to be able to do it faster). Which one is right - oil change sufficient or should Audi be changing the strainer as well?
It's only done 80k, and it still needs a grand spending to sort the brakes plus a front bumper respray.
