Running rich and temp

Ran VAG-COM to see what the car was whining about now (abs sensor) and it also showed up this:

Aside from needing a new DV, could the MAF be causing the fuel prob? I have noticed the mpg drop a little recently.
With the cooling system, I've noticed the engine runs cooler, but given the temperature has been between 3 and -6 I didn't think there was a problem.

That code gets thrown with boost leaks too. Assuming all the hose clips are done up the only place it could leak would be the DV. BUT that's not always the case.

MAFs are funny things, intermittent airflow may cause it to run rich briefly. I would have a read of ross-tech.com about fuel trims. I can never remember which way round it is but there's 2 trim problems with different symptoms.

Once warmed up your engine temp should always be the same (90 degrees) regardless of outside temp, that's what the thermostat & radiator fans are for.
I'd replace the temp sender first as this is cheap at £20 from stealer and an easy DIY fix. This will be causing over fuelling with the ECU thinking the engine isn't up to temp.

Needed a bitty or two that vag parts sell so chucked in a temp sender too.
Hopefully with DV that'll fix the probs.
Then I just need to sort the abs sensor, steering angle sensor, and central locking pump and vacuum leak then my car will finally be normal!
Tho its also due a service, and I suspect some bushes are on way out
