As per title, When I apply the brakes I get what can only be described as the sound your tyres make when going over rumble strips.

No pulsing on the brake pedal, car still tracks straight when braking and driving but you do feel the vibration through the floor of the car, more so too the n/s, any ideas?

I will take a look underneath at the weekend and not drive the car until I find the problem, but if anybody has any ideas at what I might look for?

Thanks

Had a similar issue and turned out to be worn/pitted rear discs

Sounds like you may have worn pads

Check the pads on each wheel, if you have an issue you may find a sudden build up of grey or brown dust on one wheel.

SussexCpl +1 on this.
Same issue and it was the rear discs and pads worn out.

Hi all

Turned out to be a broken n/s rear spring!

£160 from Audi and £100 fitting at a local garage, ouch.
