Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible to install the complete braking system of the rs6 in my a6 Avant 2016 TDI ultra .

I have to do some modification, or just install.

Thanks

Plugplay... rear brackets need minor modification,

Youll be needing longer brakehoses though

As I am aware there a bolt on fit, no mods needed

Many thanks guys,

In this case, I think I'll go ahead and buy the braking system .

I'd look at some 3.0 TDI brakes with some nice Redstuff or DS2500 pads and 345mm discs.

i was gonna say... owning an ultra i'll admit the brakes could do with beefing up, but 3.0/S6 brakes would be easily enough and wouldn't carry the RS premium

Howdy I'm currently upgrading my A6 3.o BITDI upto RS6 calliper set. I will be selling my BITDI large calliper set if your interested ?

i get that the rs6 brakes look cool, and i'd agree the ultra could do with a bit more stopping power, but you can pick 3.0 brakes up for £100 a side

The BITDI callipers are bigger than the standard 272 3.0 TDI

I don't know and can't find the info on the web. But they are big. Once i get my RS6 calliper set completed i will get the BITDI set professionally painted with in RS Red with the RS sticker on the front callipers. In the meantime enjoy this
Are the BITDI brakes the 356mm with twin pots?

What are your codes for brakes on the PR sticker and I'll have a look at what it translates to?

If the OP want's RS6 brakes then buy them. I always think if you are going to buy big alloys then you need the brakes behind them to make them look good..

For example this looks good.

This looks silly... and it's gets even worse if the car has drum brakes!!!

It's all down to the personal choice at the end, and if you want to spend 2K on brakes go for it, but I personally think the 2.0TDI brake are fine however I don't drive the car like I stole it!

One thing to remember that it's not going to be 2K your spending, at some point you will need discs & pads again so add another 1-2K on the bill. If your buying RS parts you need and RS wallet behind it...

Kit will include.

  • Front and rear callipers
  • Re painted callipers professionally by calliper specialist in RS6 red with RS logos. 4 year guarantee on paint.
  • Front and Rear Discs with 35000 miles use.
  • Front and Rear pads with approx 1000 miles use. Have audi receipt showing milage these were fitted to confirm milage.
  • Front and read hub dust covers to use with larger BITDI discs.
Disc size i can't tell you as i can find out any info. But if the discs on the RS6 which are quite bit bigger than my own BITDI ones are again can fit my hub without modification but requires the addition of new and larger dust covers ( im including the BITDI ones as part of the ebay sale) i imagine these will simple be bolt on.

Looking for £800

Hello guys ,

Important information, for those who want to change the braking system of A6 tdi ultra 190ps, front-wheel drive.

The rear calipers and discs of rs6 does not fit in my A6 tdi ultra front-weel drive, Major changes are required In various parts of the rear axis

Front is plug and play.

I'm toying with the idea of getting some 3.0 brakes for mine, selling my nearly new calipers would recoup most of the cost

This a pity on the rears. Im wondering if it is the same with mine. What were the material problems and interface issues ?
Strong lilley hood i may have the same issues i will start communications with the people i know.

Sent my callipers off re paint on Thursday original RS red and logos. Will get them back in 2-3 weeks once i return from states where im working. Backplates still on back order from Audi so waiting on that to pan out.

The journey continues. .. . .. . . . ............

Mr Audi, you should not have problem in assembling the rear brakes, because you have four wheels drive .

Hello all,
Sorry for recovering this post, but I would like to know how was the final behavior of the yours brakes upgarding.
I am from Spain and i am looking for information about the brake upgrading for my A6 biti competition. I bought and installed the rs6 2017 brake system in my car. All parts are plug and play, but ....... always there are any but.
The brake pedal now is smoother that the original and the pedal goes donw more too.
Other problem is, when i push the brake pedal energically (like in an one emergency), the car goes firts to the letf side and immediately return to the center, in summary, the car has a uneven braking. However, if i push the pedal no energically at the beginning the braking is stable and very hard.
I know that the brake master cilinder is the same in my car and in the RS6. The brake booster is the same too, the pipe is the same and the only differencies that I have found it is the ABS moduletor.

I have bleed the system 4 times in the oficial audi garage, I have reviewed and rebuilded the calipers, I have reviwed the discs (they are perfect), but the problem continues there.

I have changed againg the original A6 biti competition brake system and the car run perfectly.
Someone who has made this change had the same problem ?.
I am desperate because i read similar changes in the same car and nobody says anything about.
Sorry for my bad English.
Regards
Alberto
