Started this project this week. Got the complete front bumper and it's currently getting primed for paint while waiting on the side skirts and back bumper to arrive. I'll try and update the thread with the progress and photos.

Any helpful feedback or info will be welcomed. No need for any negative replies. Thanks

@ Gavin, the sills are the right colour.

@ neebwon, will the RS kit fit direct without any cosmetic tweaks. Sure there were differences in the arches at both ends (flaring) which meant it wasn't direct fit. Intrigued to see how the project goes.

@gavin front and back bumper arrived from Germany and side skirts purchased local. Now god knows if they were flood damaged or not!

@warren_s3 cosmetic tweaks will be needed for sure as they aren't a direct fit. Let's see how we get on!

Just ordered 20"x10 Vertini magic concave wheels Image with 20mm spacers. Should have them by next week. Will update with pics.

It was meant as a joke over the flood damaged then stripped RS5 a few topics below this one.

@gavin I never took any offence mate. Cheers

So yeah, bumpers fitting and measurements were done last week and they are getting the modification done to them now. It's all done in the spare time so it's going slow. Meanwhile I got the 20" wheels put on so am adding the photos. ImageImageImage

Hi warren when I was looking into doing my conversion I signed up on a few off these forums hoping I was going to get some ideas but not many members have done a full Rs5 conversion

Think A5OC is a bit of an oasis when it comes to out of the ordinary mods. There are some highly tuned cars here, but nothing in the lines of what I've seen you, Cuppa and a few others doing on A5OC!

It will be interesting to see how you are going to fit the sideskirts as on the rear rs wings they fit in a recess so they are a flush fit so you would have to just bond them to the body which means they would not look right IMO all so the front wings on the Rs5 step out ?

I think modifying cars is very addictive this is the first car Iv ever had done trouble is with me I like it to look exactly right and that's where it cost money but it's nice to see other people doing similar projects

A stunning transformation, what will you do with your time now you've got all that out the way?!

Looks like a good job but I would feel a bit depressed if a real RS5 cabrio pulls up at the lights and you're sitting there in your derv :)

I think Tony's car is a 3.0V6T with Stage III APR supercharger kit so he'll have the hustle to go with the muscle! Agree though, would hate to have a car that was show and no go.

Hi warren I'm still got the exhaust to sort out as it's not sitting right so will have to seek specialist advise on ether bending the pipes or cutting them and putting a elbow on them to twist them up as Armytrix are wanting to film the car for there website as shmee150 is doing the video for them apart from that I'm nearly finished thank god

It's a S5 and yeh it's a replica but it will leave the rs5 now never mind when I get the bigger supercharger on

When it was Dyno last it was doing 400 bhp at the wheels and 408lb off torque but it was suffering from lag on the gearbox it's had the box mapped since then

Hiare you gonna fit the RS5 arches or ?
aslo do you have similar picture for rear to show me as I want to do the same to my A5

Ta

93T if you dont mind me asking, how much has the full conversion cost you?

I have the 08 S5 (v8) and thinking of getting the TTS supercharged kit.. However £12k is a lot to cough up in one go, wonder if they do finance lol

I would not recommend doing the rear arches very hard job we used all genuine panels and we had to modify the inner arches to make them fit as the rs5 ones just would not sit right all I can say is have a open cheque book as we went well over budget as we hit loads off problems

That sounds annnngry! Beautiful noise and awesome job on the car!

I don't like venturing into the '5' section for envy reasons haha.. At 24 I think I've got a few years to go until I can afford my dream car with this kind of modding!
I think at 24 if you Driving any Audi your doing something right
