I had an enhancement detail carried out on the RS4 today. The paint was fairly swirl free to start with, it just needed a freshen up.
Very pleased with the results.

The car is in my unit, I had Stuart from Vehicle Detailing Solutions do the work. I have used him a couple of times before when I had an XF.
This is the first time he has done any work on this car. I had him booked in for the day to give it the once over and to access whether we needed more time at a later date. The paint was fairly swirl free so after the normal wash, snow foam and decontamination it was bought inside to be clayed and inspected.
I made a space in the unit as the weather was pretty grim and to be honest I would much prefer the car inside and so does Stuart.
The clay bar picked up a reasonable amount of fallout/deposits.
The b pillars, the little triangle on the rear window and the rear lights then had 2 hits first with Koch Chemie H8 & then with P2.
The paint then had an enhancement with Carpro Essence and topped off with Collinite 845.
Tryes dressed and the glass cleaned, that just about finished the day off.

Thanks, it was hard work watching it all happen!
It was great to carry on with my work whilst that was going on around me.

A lovely RS4, and looking fab after a bit of TLC. I hate the swirls that B pillars always get - so frustrating.

Out of interest, are those wheels RS4 specific?

Thanks, I did think about wrapping the b pillars with a PPF. That is probably the only way to keep them looking good.
Yes the wheels are the OEM winter wheels for the RS4.

I have a wee mini rotary polisher which l use in conjuction with a finishing pad and Scholl S40 finishing polish it removes the swirls on the high gloss b pillars not got them 100% perfect, but l am working on it lol

Elliot Stafford from www.detailyoureyecandy.co.uk did a brilliant job of the new car preparation on my A7 when I bought it 2 years ago and I’ll be taking back to him for a retreatment in the next month or so.

My B pillars have picked up some very noticeable surface marks so I will get Elliot to cover them in self healing film.

Just noticed this post, congratulations on your purchase. Bit of a change from the XF!

Yes slightly different. I have had it just over a year now.
To be honest, although I liked the XF, it was the first diesel saloon car I have had and I missed a bigger engined petrol estate. The XF also fitted in with budgets and was more fuel efficient, I thought it was about time I bought something I really wanted!
How are you finding the S4?

I posted quite a lengthy post on the Jaginfo selling the XJ forum.

But overall really happy with the S4, although have a annoying rattle when on one road near me and lack of feedback on steering. Had taken a little while for it to grow on me as missing touch screen but tech is really good. It is just so well rounded it takes Manchester traffic really well and in dynamic mode a different animal all together.

Audi need to get a heated windscreen though!

I think I read that post, glad it is growing on you.
Funny you say about the touch screen, that is one thing I don't miss! In the XF it was a bit out of date and laggy also a finger print magnet.
I do really miss the heated screen, I thought I saw it as an option the new A7 and I believe it is an option on more models in European countries.
