Hi all,

Im having a problem with my B7 RS4 (2006). I have had it three times now where I have gone to pull away and the car has all of a sudden felt like one of the coil packs has gone and the EPC light comes on and the ESP symbol comes on. The car will not go over 1500RPM and sounds like a tractor. I pulled over and turned the engine off and then restarted it and it started and ran fine but the EPC light remained on. I hooked it up to VCDS (genuine) and it gave me a couple of codes (see below). I reset it as I thought it may be nothing major as the car restarted ok after I had switched it off. I drove it again today and it happened twice before I could get it home and hook it back up to VCDS again. It came up with the following two codes and details:

Does anyone have any idea what would be causing the problem or if the two faults could be related to the same issue?

Many thanks in advance
Monkey

The clue is here "Control Module Malfunction - DBW Throttle Monitoring" - it's getting conflicting information from the throttle pedal (which is also probably the cause of the ABS error).

Check the electrical connections to the throttle pedal.

Thanks Dave. I'll have a good dig around in it tomorrow and see what I can find. Been looking all over the net to try and find more on it

Sorry for bringing the post back from the dead. Just wondering what the fix was? I'm suffering the same issue with not being able to rev past 1500 rpm.
