RS4 Alloys whats best colour?

Hi my 19inch RS4 Alloys are going in for a refurbishment next wednesday before I put new tyres on, went to visit the wheel specialist this morning and cant make my mind up what colour I want them, to be honest there was so much choice!!! and all looked brilliant!

My car is phantom pearl black A4 S Line B8 and toying with the idea of having the wheels smoked chrome and black , these looked very smart!

Whats the best colour please?? Im undecided and dont want to regret my choice,

I'd go for a deep grey, gunmetal type colour personally. Never liked the chrome RS4 wheels. I had OEm ones and if I ever got the refurbed I would have gone for gunmetal.

Saw this on Midlands Car Care Facebook page last week, I thought it looked really well.
The alloys were just refurbed in Smoked Chrome too!

That picture almost has me convinced that my choice of smoked chrome is a top colour on a black car!!!

Personnel preference really, I don't like dark wheels on a dark car myself, I like either hyper silver or just standard silver, but if they were to be a bit darker as Sandra said anthracite would be my colour choice, if you do like the black on black look what about black chrome my mates just done some on an RS4 in black chrome and I do like them.

Im with SI-W85, if you've got nice wheels on a dark car then silver would be my choice, anything too dark and you are hiding the wheels really. I've got the 5 spoke Ti wheels and the grey on them is probably too dark, but the edges highlight the wheels a bit i guess.

Reading through your comments It really is a personal choice I guess, I am still undecided at the moment, i'm still thinking of the smoked chrome that I saw at the wheel refurbishers that caught my eye! and would be something different? on the other hand something is telling me to stick with the original audi silver and keep it standard.
I will make my decision on the day I think?

Keep it standard. I went from Diamond cut polish on my ST220 to Smoked chrome and regretted it every time I looked at the car after. When I get mine done I will go for the brightest silver they have.

I think your right mate! i've been considering smoked chrome and playing it over in my mind but don't think I could settle with it, its going to be the safe choice and i'm opting for Hyper Silver !
Going in tomorrow morning.

Yeah I like Hyper silver but make sure you take them somewhere good as I am lead to believe it is a hard colour to paint.

I have phantom black avant and went with the darker RS finish when I had some 19's refurbed.
I've seen factory supply them in the hyper silver, which has an almost white apearance under bright lighting or the darker sort of smoked colour that I opted for. Not sure if they were limited to different models / years ?


I know both the genuine colours are not readily available and my refurber had to source the correct Audi colour code specially.

That said, I really like mine when clean, but they look dirty and dark really quick after cleaning. If I were making the choice again, I think I'd still stick with the darker finish just because it makes it a little less bling.

Well picked up the car last night!, all refurbed and done in the new Merc Silver! they didn't have Audi Hyper Silver which meant i would of had to re-book when they ordered some in. Anyway was told the Merc Silver was closest match to Hyper Silver that they had, I must say I am impressed! they look great! very eye catching against the phantom black bodywork and new tyres.
