Hi folks,
Just driven my first Rs3 as i have been thinking of getting one. 65 plate with lots of options including pan roof, ss seats, audi mag ride, high beam assist, adaptive c.c , lane assist, phone box, b&o, engine de limited plus more. Very nice car to drive , very smooth and a nice growl from the optional sports exhaust that it also specced with.
Someone told me that they only get 250ish miles to a full tank, is this correct? Car comes with full vag warranty and looks stunning in metallic black. Just need to have a think especially with the way the country/ world is at the min... i can see why folk love the note and smoothness of the 5 pot engine...

Cheers

If you’re stop / start driving that’s about right, on a run you’ll be getting circa 34/35 mpg.

You don’t but an RS3 for economy though do you!

250 to a tank is about right, can get more if driven gently and less if driven really hard. Who knows how the world will be in the future, the cost of Coronavirus is still an unknown, both in terms of human and money terms. I would say to go for it, enjoy it whilst you can.

Hi.. not sure how things will go, the dealer was saying they expect to close up this week as sales were slow. 2 other folk looking at audis and vw's whilst i was there. They have phoned 3 times since my test drive this afternoon. The car felt smoother than my own s3, maybe the 19" wheels and wider tyres helping with that. My own s3 is similar specced although i lack the rear view camera, acc and high beam assist. Both cars have keyless entry and are both enjoyable to drive although the smoothness and exhaust note on the rs3 were better. Acceleration wise i dont think there would be much in it as my s3 is a 3 door model so will be slightly lighter but id imagine that higher up in speed then the torque of the rs3 would take over. Decisions decisions, on a seperate note thougb everyone stay safe and hopefully we will all get through this..

I went from a PFL S3 to PFL RS3 about a year ago. RS3 is a different beast altogether, absolute animal.
It’s all about the noise anyway, that engine and exhaust are delicious.
Don’t think i’d make the plunge with the current situation though to be honest. God knows whats going to happen!

Hi. Yeah i am thinking that myself at the min, probably hold off until things get back to normality. Car market my plummet as not sure if anyone will be looking to buy for a while. Tempted to be honest but i will hold off i think as other priorities to think about first...

Used car prices must surely come down with what’s going on right now. Dodgy car dealers have been able to be very stubborn with prices, barely knocking any money off the sticker prices because of access to super cheap cash. But I reckon banks will be putting more pressure on them now to call those loans in and, combined with less people buying, could mean used prices tumble.

I could be completely wrong but I’m going to watch this one for a bit and hope to pick up a used car bargain over the coming weeks and months.
