Just uploading some pictures for Neessh. Will let him describe the process for the cutting ect for the sensor. He used the license plate holder that came with the grill,cut it and nodded it to fit the sensor hole. Looks amazing,nice work

As mentioned, I cut strips out of the license plate holder it came with and used a heat gun to bend it into shape. Cut the mesh part of the grill with a multitool and CA glued it in place. Also used a universal U.S. plate mount with some fender washers. I didn't know I could've gotten the grill with the U.S. plate mounts instead. Oh well.
No false sensor activity so all good!

If the 2016 RS3 grill is a facelift, which it should be, then no, it won't fit a 2014 PFL S3. Different shaped grills.

The high gloss black Audi Logo its not flush with the base on the grill mount.....look at the middle photo,the logo on the car is, as he's obviously painted the OEM 4 chrome cirlces logo black previously and the shape of the honeycomb is off as well....sorry made in China.....l would'nt do a Faux grill on a car at this price

Is £500 good price for a genuine RS3 FL grille? I'm just curious what price people consider acceptable before it turnes to a "robbery". I ride a 8PA with an x-uk honeycomb grille and I considered the price of the grille pretty high in comparison to majority of cheaper ebay offers, though I'm glad I chose this one. But now I see that all the styling pieces of an A3 8V are much more expensive than the 8P ones. So, what price of the RS3 grille would you glad to pay and what would turn you away and make to call a seller greedy?

A good quality after market one is not cheaper (e.g. EMD Auto from US). I'd say that's a great price. The cheaper one you can get from Xenonz doesn't have the Audi rings which IMO is essential and the ones from China are okay but I think it's a gamble.

Still not yet. The EMD Auto one that @Lehn linked to is the best I can find but I just don't want to get stung for import charges since it is US based...

If you're 100% sure it's OEM I would prefer that any day.

None of the aftermarket ones look as good especially around the rings. Most either have solid backing or stick out too far.

Good Morning,
There is a story here so grab a brew.

I work in a bodyshop and a mate of mine wrapped his 2017 S3 into the back of a Yaris. He didn't want to go through the insurance so I sorted him a quote for new bumper, headlamp, wing, right aux rad, etc.

While the car was in, he asked could he get an RS3 grille fitted so it was this very thread that I did a bit of research on. It looked, with a little modification, a grille would fit so we ordered one.
Over Christmas, the grille has come and the technician has modded it and fit it in my absence. There has been something lost in translation here because the grille he has modded and fitted has no radar window in it.

As you can see by the images, it looks pretty good fitted and fits bang on as it has been modded in all the right places.

As you all know this is a pretty dear grille and can be had from a dealer for getting on for the grand mark inc. vat.

We are now ordering another grille, with the radar window in it but wondered if anyone wanted to carry out this mod as we have a grille here for sale to sensible offers.

To be straight down the line with everyone, the grille retails at £826.44 + vat and it stands us at £711 plus vat.

The grille is brand new, genuine from the dealer, obviously modified to fit a 2017 facelift S3, Sensible offers to jon.heald@northernaccidentrepair.co.uk
I will post in classifieds but I thought this is kind of a specialist item for certain people who read this particular post?

I didn't know that the RS3 grille needed modifications to fit the S3 bumper. Did you have to cut/trim anything?
