The two error codes are appearing on scan.
P0016 - Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation Bank 1 Sensor A.
P0420 - Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1
The noticeable issue I’m having with the car is the I get the following error code Max Engine Speed: 4000 rpm matched with an EPC light. As well an Engine Management Light.
I’ve had the car checked by a reputable Audi specialist, they advised that timing figures are all in line and eliminated the need for chain replacement. They said the cam solenoid valves need replacing and that should sort the issues. I have since changed both the valves and now the error has gone from intermittent to permanent even after clearing the codes it’ll come straight back on.
Does this sound like I’ve done something wrong or has anyone got any experience as to why this 4000 rpm restriction would be on the dash.
