Ok.. I'll be brief.
My RS has done 2000 miles, the other day with no warning it lost all power and rolled to a stop whilst poodling along warming her up. Turned her off, then back on. Ran for the rest of the day without missing a beat. Scanned with vcds when I got home - fuel pressure regulator fault followed by low fuel fault (yes i had plenty of fuel before anyone asks!) Called audi uk, they told me my car needs a recall for a known fuel pressure electronics issue, so they booked it in for the following Monday. Cheers for letting me know, before I had to call them
The next evening, whilst driving in traffic, the car started to stink, a bit of an oily smell, but very strong. No warning lights, didn't run bad, but lots of smoke from under the bonnet and the car. I was pretty close to home so as soon as I pulled up I looked and noticed quite a bit of oil underneath although difficult to pinpoint. I called audi assist, who had the car recovered to the dealership.
After a somewhat lengthy investigation, they told me that the leak was from the transfer box and that they had to have one shipped from Germany.
Just over a week later, it had been replaced and I picked my car up. The fuel pump recall issue had been overlooked somehow so the car has had to go back in (again!) but my dealership have been good with the goodwill gestures and have made me feel valued, but...........
I'm just starting to wonder how reliable a vehicle this is going to be..........?
